Inauguration of a village church at GHAURA

June 24, "In many modern countries, people are in deep frustrations, they do not find joy and hope with the church. We are blessed. Here we are trying our best to exercise our Christianity in our life." Bishop Moses Costa, CSC was speaking these words in the inauguration of a village church at GHAURA under Pathorghata Parish of Dinajpur Diocese on 24th June.
During the mass 67 people (children, adult, man women, the youngest one 4 month Old and the eldest one above 60 years old) were baptized by the Bishop. Then bishop gave confirmation sacrament to the adults one. After that the blessing of the new church held. There were more than 1,500 people, of them more that 100 were Muslim who watched the entire program without giving any problem.
On 24th June, from morning. all the villagers and 67 new Christians were waiting for Bishop Moses. Bishop Moses arrived at 8:30 am. Then the reception dance started. The dance group brought Bishop and all the guests to the in front of the New Church. At 9:00 am the holy mass started and it ended at 11:30 am.
Fr. Marcus Murmu, Fr. Cherubim Bakla, Fr. Alphonse Marandy, Fr. Silvanus Hembrom, Fr. Ovidio Larka, Fr. Joseph Murmu, Fr. Anthony Sen, Fr. Simon Tigga and Fr. Martinelli PIME were present in the blessing. Deacon Francis Marandy TOR and Songkor were also present.
 
After the mass there was a small cultural program and there was a dinner party. More than 600 people were invited to this dinner.
